About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Short-Term Underwriter to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing risk, evaluating applications, and ensuring compliance with underwriting policies and procedures.

This role requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess short-term insurance applications.
• Analyse risk factors and determine appropriate terms.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
• Communicate underwriting decisions clearly to brokers, agents, and clients.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of underwriting activities.
• Collaborate with the claims and sales teams to support business objectives.

Qualifications & Skills

• Relevant qualification in Insurance, Risk Management, or Finance.
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in short-term underwriting.
• Strong knowledge of insurance principles and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in underwriting systems and MS Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure, and as part of a team.
